[ 心[pic]灵鸡汤 ] A Brother’s voice
亲情是一种支持，也是一种理解。无论距离多么遥远，无论时隔多少年，兄妹情深，永
恒不变。
     Most people ar[pic]e inspired by something in their lives. My
inspiration came from my sister Vicki, a kind and caring person. In the
summer, I received a phone call from my father saying that Vicki was sent
to the hospital. She had a serious brain problem and the doctor didn’t give
her more than three months to live.
     I was overcome with shock and sadness, but I decided that Vicki needed

to fight against the disease.
     The month of August arrived and new term was st[pic]arting, but I
didn’t want to go to sch[pic]ool. All I wanted to do was staying with
Vicki. She became angry and told me not to worry because she would be fine.     After going back to school, I would talk to Vicki, "I’m fighting for
you and I will never quit. As[pic] long as you never quit fighting we will
beat thi[pic]s."A few months had passed and she [pic]was still holding on.
One day when I talked about Vicki’s situation with my friend, she[pic]
asked a question that really made me think. She said, "Do you think the
reason why she hasn’t gone is that she doesn’t want to le[pic]t you down?"
     Maybe she was right. Maybe I was selfish for encouraging Vicki to keep
fighting. That night before falling asleep, I said to her, "Vicki, I
understand that you’re in a lot of pain and that you might like to go. We
didn’t lose you because you never quit fighting. If you want to go to a
better place then I understand. We will be together again soon. I love you
and I’ll always be with you wherever you are.[pic]"

play the violin and the piano. I have joined the music club in my high
school and I put on performances at big parties at the end of the term each
