Welcome, one and all, to the first post on our Whyyu Blog. We'll be posting here a few times a month on the subject of learning English. I have gotten a few requests to share our thoughts on the state of English learning and teaching, so I'll be making the occasional blog post here for any news or information that I think you might find interesting.

You might have a few questions. Questions like: Who is this guy? Is he ugly? Why should I read anything he writes? Maybe he's really handsome? What is he actually going to write about? How hard can learning English be?

I hope to answer the majority of these questions in our next post, where I'll write a little more about myself. But for now, suffice it to say, I have been learning English since I was 7 when I moved to America. I had a hard time learning initially, it was a hard transition from the Chinese education system, to the American one. After a transition period, I started learning much faster, and actually started having fun.

Ever since, I've viewed learning as lifelong habit, and I hope this blog can inspire the same transition in more kids. The fact that learning and studying can be fun is going to be one of the main themes of this blog. I want to talk about creating a habit of studying, learning, and how to make all of it fun for all these kids.

 我非常高兴大家能够看到这篇文章，以后我们每个星期都会更新至少一篇博文和大家讨论关于英语学习的问题。在我平时的工作中，有很多家长或者老师还有学生希望我们分享一些关于英语学习以及英语教学状况的想法，所以我也会经常放一些你们可能感兴趣的新闻或者消息贴在我们的博文里面。

     所以我打算在下一篇博文中回答大家的问题，并且也写一些关于我自己的故事。现在我先简单介绍一下我自己家吧！我是一个美籍华人，从7岁搬到美国后就开始学习英语了。最初的时候，对于我来说学习英语非常的困难，从中国式教育过渡到美式教育，需要一个很长的适应过程，这个过程也是非常辛苦的。在过渡期后，我慢慢的开始享受学习的乐趣，并且进步神速！：）

     从那个时候开始，学习变成了我的习惯，而且我非常享受学习的过程，直到现在也是如此。我希望我的博文可以帮助和鼓舞很多同样处在学习困难过渡期的朋友。这篇博文的主题就是怎样培养学习和钻研的习惯并且怎样让它们变得有趣。
