笔者曾多次在不同学生的英语练习本见到过这样的改错题：“These books are very important for the students .”参考答案是把 for 改为to 。

     笔者认为，这里的 for 可以改为 to ，但是，不改也是正确的，因为 形容词 important 后面接“介词+名词或代词”而不与动词不定式连用时，该介词通常使用 to ，但也可以使用 for 。例如：

（1）As  water  is  very  important to  our  environment ,he 

encouraged  everyone  to  take  part  in  protecting  our  lakes, rivers, seas  and  oceans. （摘自中英合编的Junior  English  for  China, Students'  Book  3 ,   P.27,Lesson  22,  人民教育出版社2001年12月第1版）

（2）Water  is  also  very  important for  China .（同上）

（3）Winning  the  game  yesterday  was  important for  us . 赢得昨天的比赛对我们来说意义重大。（摘自《麦克米伦英汉双解词典》第504页，外语教学与研究出版社出版发行，2005年4月第1版）

（4）Your  interest  and  support  are  important  to  your  child . 你的关注和支持对你的孩子来说非常重要。（同上）

(6)Irrigation  is  important  for  farming . 灌溉对耕作很重要。（同上）
